About Me
Hi. This is where I get to ramble around with my personal thoughts and keep a tab on how my life is rolling around. I am currently working as a strategy consultant, based in Seoul, Korea (for the time being) and just wanted to keep a habit of writing down my impressions for each project that I end up partaking in, and also to develop a sense of perspective on what this industry actually does. (Nobody tends to know what a consultant does)
All the content written here are about my own personal journeys and take as a consultant, so please don't take them as facts, just opinions :) . I also don't have the luxury of having worked at every firm, so I also believe my experiences won't be able to translate to all firms, but I hope it resembles the industry somewhat. I am currently working at the Boston Consulting Group, and also have spent some time at Kearney, both respected strategy firms here. Since I have gone through a vertical hire (from industry to consulting) and also a lateral hire (from Kearney to BCG), I do feel like I can provide multiple perspectives on what it feels like at each particular juncture of my life.
Some people maybe interested in the consulting life, so hopefully I can provide some food for thought into the everyday lives of management consultants..
Background:
I've originally begun my career in B2B Sales and Project management (PM) in the automotive battery industry, so I hope to be able to bring a different perspective on management consulting, as it does seem quite to be a factor that separates my view from those who have begun their careers here, not just in the work-side of things, but also on how I view the kind of balance I want in my life, whether it be work hours, the people you want to surround yourself with, and also future career paths.
Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to reach out!
